PACKAGING MANAGER EUROPE
Innovative and technology driven PET or Resin specialist
Job description
- Within the packaging department of the European Engineering and Technology organization, you manage the development and the optimization of primary packaging across the European Supply Chain. You will focus mainly on PET packaging.
- Your main accountabilities are to conduct feasibility studies for primary packaging developments, promotions and new technical standards, to manage optimization programs within the required objectives and time scales, to organize and support trials with the plants and (resin) suppliers and to identify new technical methods and solutions to optimizing packaging and reduce costs.
- You will be in close contact with and travel regularly to different production plants in the different European countries, the European R&D center, the country organizations and the suppliers in general.
Profile
- You have a university degree in Polymer Chemistry (Master or PhD).
- You have an experience or expertise in resin development for PET or recycling of PET packaging from within R&D, engineering or production.
- Technical expertise with PET performs injection or blow molding is an asset.
- We are looking for your project management and positive communication skills enabling you to work together with international colleagues and to manage suppliers at a technical level.
- You are self-driven and demonstrate adaptability and drive for achievement, setting own agenda to deliver accountabilities.
- You are internationally minded and speak fluently English; any additional European language such as French and Dutch are welcome. You are ready to relocate or commute weekly to Brussels and you are flexible for regular traveling.
